KOTUG assisted Grimaldi Car Carrier in Hamburg

Today, 10th January 2012, KOTUG's RotorTug RT Claire assisted the Car Carrier "Grande Sierra Leone" of Grimaldi Lines into the Port of Hamburg.

The Grand Sierra Leone is the last "Coro" ship (combination of a container and Ro-Ro vessel) of a new series of 12 ships, which of the same types have been used in its services to West Africa. The ships in these series offer with its length of 210 meters and a depth of 9.5 meters space to 2000 cars / vans and 800 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) and 2000 meters length to trucks and construction vehicles.
