Procedures and certification
KOTUG is ISO 9001:2008 and ISM certified. KOTUG invests a lot into its Quality procedures and HSE management to be a leader of towage services. Depending upon the development of the several projects at hand and new ventures to be explored, we make investments in QHSE. This means QHSE control during the execution of marine projects where a QHSE officer is a part of the operating team.

Working with innovation (simulation)
To ensure quality, we invest in several kinds of training for our crew. In collaboration with Maritime Simulation Rotterdam, KOTUG has developed a bridge layout of our Rotortug as well as a world-wide port simulation program (360 degrees view). At the simulation centre you can also find a bridge layout of a Voith Schneider tug, a Stern Drive tug and a Tractor tug, to get acquainted with other tug propulsion types, also being part of the Kotug fleet. Apart from training our own crew, we also educate crews of other towage companies throughout the world.
